Falls are the leading cause of injury among older Americans, and can lead to the loss of independence and create undue financial burdens. The home may possess hazards that can lead to increased risks of falling while at home. However, there are simple modifications that can make the home a safer place to be. Join the Visiting Nurse Association of Northern New Jersey and learn to identify potential hazards, modify your home for increased safety, and reduce your risk of falls. Registration required, please sign up online or at the branch.

Northeast Branch (Independence)

The Northeast Branch first opened in February of 1993. In November 2009, the Warren County Freeholders purchased the Best Fruit Farm Building as the future home of the branch. After a year of renovations, in May 2011, staff and a group of 153 volunteers moved the branch to our new location. The new facility has become a community center with its meeting rooms, public access computers, and quiet reading area. We strive to offer programs of interest to both children and adults as well as being a focal point for community interaction.
