Come celebrate the Bard's 455th birthday!  From humble beginnings in a Warwickshire village, William Shakespeare became England's most famous author. His legacy includes some of the most recognizable work in any language: Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Macbeth, "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" "To be or not to be." "Jealousy is the green-eyed monster." Shakespeare's comedies, tragedies, histories, and sonnets show him to be an innovator in language and expression and a master stylist on the stage and on the page.

Northeast Branch (Independence)

The Northeast Branch first opened in February of 1993. In November 2009, the Warren County Freeholders purchased the Best Fruit Farm Building as the future home of the branch. After a year of renovations, in May 2011, staff and a group of 153 volunteers moved the branch to our new location. The new facility has become a community center with its meeting rooms, public access computers, and quiet reading area. We strive to offer programs of interest to both children and adults as well as being a focal point for community interaction.
